CE Marking www.forticrete-ce.com

With the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) coming into full force from July 1st 2013, the industry is facing a momentous change to the way in which construction products are sold in Europe; in fact, the biggest in over a decade.  From July onwards it will be compulsory for manufacturers to apply CE marking to any products covered by a harmonised European standard (hEN) containing a 'ZA' annexe' or European Technical Assessment (ETA).

As a leading manufacturer of concrete construction products including roof tiles, decorative concrete blocks, walling and cast stone, Forticrete has been working hard to ensure that it and its products, where necessary, are ready for the Construction Products Regulation.

With regard to the company's product range, not surprisingly, not all will require CE Marking as some are not covered by a hEN containing a 'ZA' annexe' or ETA. For example, while its architectural masonry which is manufactured in one factory and to EN 771-3 will be CE Marked, there are no EN standards in place for its plastics (ancillary roof products) and therefore no CE Mark is required.

Forticrete has invested significant time and resource to ensure that it and its products are up to speed with what is required. All relevant Forticrete products will be labeled on the packaging and / or the product with the CE Mark, as well as the Declaration of Performance (DoP) being made available on the company's dedicated website www.forticrete-ce.com
